FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for SIA Made Power Seat) REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 4 guides to install the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

    2. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Connect the connectors and engage the wire harness clamps to install the front seat wire RH.

  3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE


    1. Connect the connectors and engage the wire harness clamps to install the front No. 2 seat wire.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE


    1. Connect the connectors and engage the wire harness clamps to install the front seat wire.

  5. INSTALL OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. A01HZGB

      Engage the claw to install the occupant detection ECU.

      Note

      If the occupant detection ECU has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the occupant detection ECU with a new one.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

      Note

      When installing the occupant detection ECU, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is pinched between other parts.

  6. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. Engage the 2 clamps to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)


    1. Engage the 3 claws to install the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side)


    1. Engage the 3 claws to install the front seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Engage the 3 claws to install the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Engage the 3 claws to install the front seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  11. INSTALL UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the upper reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  12. INSTALL UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH


    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the upper reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)


    1. A01HYBF

      Engage the clip to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the screw.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)


    1. A01HYJ7

      Engage the clip to install the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the screw.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly to the separate type front seatback cover with 12 new tag pins.

  16. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. A01HZ6K

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 6 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:


    • The nuts must not be reused.

    • Make sure that the front seatback frame sub-assembly or separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.


    1. Install the front seat airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      for TMMK Made
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
      for SIA Made
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps.

  18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

    2. Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    3. Install the 3 brackets with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      CAUTION:


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the separate type front seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.

      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut.

      • Install the bracket securely.

    4. A01I1Z2

      Turn back the separate type front seatback cover.

    5. Using hog ring pliers, install the 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

    6. A01HXK5

      Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

      Note

      Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. Using a tacker, install the front seat cushion heater assembly to the separate type front seat cushion cover with 34 new tag pins.

  20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A01I0QK

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 16 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    2. A01HXKH

      Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  21. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. Engage each hook.

    3. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Engage the 2 clamps to install the seat heater wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

      3. Engage the clamp.

      4. Connect the connector.

    4. Engage the claw and 3 clamps to install the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

    5. Engage the fastener to secure the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT ANCHOR PLATE


    1. Install the front seat belt anchor plate.

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Seat)

      Install the front seat inner belt assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Engage the clamp.

    3. Engage each clamp under the front seat assembly.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Seat)

        Install the front seat inner belt assembly RH with the nut.

        Torque:
        42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

        Note

        Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly RH to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

      2. Engage the clamp.

      3. Connect the connector.

    2. for SIA Made:

        Note

      2. Engage the clamp under the front seat assembly.

      3. Connect the connector under the front seat assembly.

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Side)


    1. Engage the 5 claws and 6 guides to install the front seat inner cushion shield.

  26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Engage the 5 claws and 7 guides to install the front seat inner cushion shield.

  27. INSTALL FRONT LUMBAR POWER SEAT SWITCH (for Driver Side)


    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the front lumbar power seat switch to the front seat cushion shield.

  28. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH


    1. Install the front power seat switch to the front seat cushion shield with the 3 screws.

  29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Side)


    1. Connect the front lumbar power seat switch connector.

    2. Connect the front power seat switch connector.

    3. Engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

    4. Install the wire harness to the wire harness cover.

    5. Engage the 2 claws to close the wire harness cover.

    6. Engage the 4 claws, 7 guides and clip to install the front seat cushion shield.

  30. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Connect the front power seat switch connector.

    2. Engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

    3. Install the wire harness to the wire harness cover.

    4. Engage the 3 claws to close the wire harness cover.

    5. Engage the 4 claws, 8 guides and clip to install the front seat cushion shield.

  31. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD


    1. Install the clip.

      Engage the 3 claws and 3 guides to install the front No. 1 seat inner cushion shield as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01I0HU

      Engage the 2 claws to install the clip to the front No. 1 seat inner cushion shield as shown in the illustration.

    4. Install the screw.

  32. CONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Connect the rubber band of the separate type front seatback cover.

  33. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  34. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  35. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP


    1. Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.
