DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION When the driving support ECU assembly detects that the wipers are operating at high speed, control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system is canceled.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY (WIP2 VOLTAGE)

      (to Driving Support ECU Assembly)

      Disconnect the I187 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I187-32 (WIP2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG), windshield wiper switch assembly HI position 11 to 14 V
    4. Turn the engine switch off.

    5. Reconnect the I187 driving support ECU assembly connector.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY - WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I187 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A29 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I187-32 (WIP2) - A29-3 (+2) Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I187-32 (WIP2) or A29-3 (+2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Reconnect the A29 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.

    5. Reconnect the I187 driving support ECU assembly connector.
