DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the VSC system has a problem. Check the VSC system when this DTC is output.

P1578 Brake System Malfunction The ECM receives a brake system error signal for approximately 0.2 seconds or more while the dynamic radar cruise control is operating.

Tech Tips

This circuit uses CAN communication. Therefore, if there are any malfunctions in the communication circuit, one or more CAN communication system DTCs are stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCS (ABS/VSC/TRAC)


    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the Techstream on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      DTCs are not output (for 2AR-FE) B
      DTCs are not output (for 2GR-FE) C

    6. Turn the engine switch off.
