NAME PLATE(w/ Tire Carrier) REMOVAL

Tech Tips

When removing the symbol emblem, rear No. 3 body name plate, No. 5 back door name plate and rear license light cover, heat the vehicle body, symbol emblem, rear No. 3 body name plate, No. 5 back door name plate and rear license light cover using a heat light.

Rear License Light Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body, symbol emblem, rear No. 3 body name plate, No. 5 back door name plate and rear license light cover excessively.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM

      Put protective tape around the symbol emblem.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and symbol emblem.

      Tech Tips

      Be careful of the boss position.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the symbol emblem.

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 BODY NAME PLATE

      Put protective tape around the rear No. 3 body name plate.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and rear No. 3 body name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the rear No. 3 body name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the rear No. 3 body name plate.

  3. REMOVE NO. 5 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    1. Put protective tape around the No. 5 back door name plate.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 5 back door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 5 back door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the No. 5 back door name plate.

  4. REMOVE REAR LICENSE LIGHT COVER

    1. Put protective tape around the rear license light cover.

    2. Detach the 7 claws and remove the double-sided tape to remove the rear license light cover.
