STOP LIGHT SWITCH INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER


    1. Install a stop light switch mounting adjuster to the pedal support.

  2. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH


    1. A01X1JZE35
      *1 Brake Pedal
      *2 Adjuster
      *3 Stop Light Switch

      Insert the stop light switch to the adjuster until it just touches the brake pedal.

      Note

      Do not depress the brake pedal.

    2. A01X1LKE19
      *1 Shaft
      *2 Stop Light Switch
      *3 1.5 to 2.5 mm

      Turn the stop light switch quarter in clockwise to install it.

      Note


      • Do not depress the brake pedal.

      • Do not apply thrust force 98 N (9.99 kgf) or more to the switch body.

      • Do not apply silicone grease on the switch body.

      Torque:
      1.5 N*m  { 15 kgf*cm, 13 in.*lbf }

    3. Check the stop light switch clearance.

      Stop light switch clearance
      1.5 to 2.5 mm (0.0590 to 0.0984 in.)

    4. Connect the wire harness clamp to the pedal support.

    5. Connect the connector to the stop light switch.
