DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives a door open/closed signal from each door courtesy light switch.

  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List Click here.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH LH - MAIN BODY ECU [COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH])


    1. Disconnect the K2 front door courtesy light switch LH connector.

    2. for LHD:


      1. Disconnect the E1 main body ECU connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        K2-1 - E1-24 (DCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
        K2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. for RHD:


      1. Disconnect the E2 main body ECU connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        K2-1 - E2-21 (PCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
        K2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the L1 front door courtesy light switch RH switch connector.

    2. for LHD:


      1. Disconnect the E2 main body ECU connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        L1-1 - E2-21 (PCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
        L1-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. for RHD:


      1. Disconnect the E1 main body ECU connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        L1-1 - E1-24 (DCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
        L1-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the 2C main body ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the K3 rear door courtesy light switch LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K3-1 - 2C-2 (LCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      K3-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the L2 rear door courtesy light switch RH connector.

    2. except Double Swing Out Type:


      1. Disconnect the E2 main body ECU connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        L2-1 - E2-7 (RCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
        L2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. for Double Swing Out Type:


      1. Disconnect the E1 main body ECU connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        L2-1 - E1-17 (RCTY) Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect E2 main body ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect W3 back door with motor lock connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      W3-2 (+) - E2-25 (BCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      W3-1 (E) - Body ground

    1. Disconnect the E2 main body ECU connector.

    2. w/o Power Back Door:


      1. Disconnect the S1 back door lock connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        S1-3 (+) - E2-25 (BCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
        S1-1 (ACT-) - Body ground
        S1-3 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. w/ Power Back Door:


      1. Disconnect the S22 back door lock connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        S22-3 (CTY) - E2-25 (BCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
        S22-4 (E) - Body ground
        S22-3 (CTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
