DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor receives a signal from the headlight swivel ECU to operate. The headlight swivel ECU receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight leveling motor.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2417 or B2418 output does not occur.

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (HL AUTO LEVELING)


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test Click here.

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      HL Auto Leveling This test activates the Leveling Motor of the LH and RH headlights. By activating the Leveling Motor, illumination direction of the headlights can be moved up/down. Up, Down, Stop Perform the Active Test with the vehicle stopped, the ignition switch ON and the low beam headlights on.
      OK
      Headlight leveling motors operate normally.

      Disconnect the headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the E101 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A66*1 or A69*2 headlight unit connector.


      • *1: for LH

      • *2: for RH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
