DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor operates by receiving the signal from the headlight swivel ECU. The headlight swivel ECU detects the headlight leveling motor status using the signal from the headlight leveling motor.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2424 or B2425 output does not occur.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E101-15 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E101-22 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the E101 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A54*1 or A58*2 headlight unit connector.


      • *1: for LH

      • *2: for RH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      E101-30 (LH+) - A54-3 (LH T) Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
