LIGHTING SYSTEM Front Fog Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives a front fog light switch information signal from the light control switch (front fog switch), and illuminates the front fog lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (FRONT FOG LIGHT)


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test Click here.

  2. INSPECT FOG LIGHT RELAY (FR FOG)


    1. Remove the fog light relay from the engine room relay block, junction block.

    2. Inspect the fog light relay Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOG LIGHT RELAY [FR FOG] - BATTERY)

      Remove the fog light relay from the engine room relay block, junction block.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Fog light relay terminal 2 - Body ground Light control switch tail 11 to 14 V
      Fog light relay terminal 5 - Body ground Always

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOG LIGHT - FOG LIGHT RELAY [FR FOG] AND BODY GROUND


    1. Remove the fog light relay from the engine room relay block, junction block.

    2. Disconnect the B5*1 and B6*2 light connectors.


      • *1: for LH

      • *2: for RH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Fog light relay terminal 3 - B5-2 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      B5-1 (E) - Body ground Always
      B5-2 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RH

      Fog light relay terminal 3 - B6-2 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      B6-1 (E) - Body ground Always
      B6-2 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOG LIGHT - FOG LIGHT RELAY [FR FOG] - COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH


    1. Remove the fog light relay from the engine room relay block, junction block.

    2. Disconnect the 2H cowl side junction block LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Fog light relay terminal 1 - 2H-31 Always Below 1 Ω
      Fog light relay terminal 3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
