PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY

      *a	Component without harness connected (Headlight Cleaner Control Relay)

      w/o Washer Linked Operation:

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 6 (B) - 4 (E) Battery voltage is not applied between terminals 3 (IG) and 2 (H) 10 kΩ or higher Battery voltage is applied between terminals 3 (IG) and 2 (H) Below 1 Ω (0.8 to 0.9 seconds, then no continuity exists)

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight cleaner control relay.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 6 (B) - 4 (E) Battery voltage not applied 10 kΩ or higher Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (IG) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (E) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (FRWA) Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (IG) Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (H) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (E) Below 1 Ω for 0.8 to 0.9 seconds, then resistance increases by large amount Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (IG) Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (HDLO) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (E) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (FRWA)

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight cleaner control relay.
