PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      w/ Rain Sensor

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Front Wiper Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E16-1 (+S) - E16-3 (+1) OFF Below 1 Ω E16-2 (+B) - E16-3 (+1) MIST LO E16-1 (+S) - E16-3 (+1) E16-8 (AUTO) - E16-9 (E) AUTO E16-2 (+B) - E16-4 (+2) HI
      Adjusting Ring Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E16-7 (VR1) - E16-6 (VR2) P1 209 to 231 Ω P2 114 to 126 Ω P3 58.9 to 65.1 Ω P4 Below 1 Ω
      Front Washer Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E15-4 (EW) - E15-7 (WF) ON Below 1 Ω OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      Rear Wiper Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E15-4 (EW) - E15-2 (C1R) E15-4 (EW) - E15-3 (+1R) OFF 10 kΩ or higher E15-4 (EW) - E15-2 (C1R) INT Below 1 Ω E15-4 (EW) - E15-3 (+1R) ON
      Rear Washer Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E15-4 (EW) - E16-5 (WR) ON Below 1 Ω OFF 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.

      Front Washer Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E15-4 (EW) - E15-7 (WF) ON Below 1 Ω OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      Rear Wiper Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E15-4 (EW) - E15-2 (C1R) E15-4 (EW) - E15-3 (+1R) OFF 10 kΩ or higher E15-4 (EW) - E15-2 (C1R) INT Below 1 Ω E15-4 (EW) - E15-3 (+1R) ON
      Rear Washer Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E15-4 (EW) - E16-5 (WR) ON Below 1 Ω OFF 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.

2. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for RHD LH Side)

      Rear Wiper Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E15-4 (EW) - E15-2 (C1R) E15-4 (EW) - E15-3 (+1R) OFF 10 kΩ or higher E15-4 (EW) - E15-2 (C1R) INT Below 1 Ω E15-4 (EW) - E15-3 (+1R) ON
      Rear Washer Switch Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E15-4 (EW) - E16-5 (WR) ON Below 1 Ω OFF 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
