REAR WIPER MOTOR INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01XA64E11

      Check the wiper operation.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the rear wiper motor and check the rear wiper motor operation.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (LS) and Terminal 5 (E)

        Motor operates continuously

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.

    2. Check the INT operation.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the rear wiper motor and check the rear wiper motor operation.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (C1) and Terminal 5 (E)

        Motor operates intermittently

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.

    3. Check the rear washer linked operation.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the rear wiper motor and check the rear wiper motor operation.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (W) and Terminal 5 (E)

        Motor operates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.

    4. Check the automatic stop position operation.


      1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 4 (B), and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3 (LS) and terminal 5 (E). With the motor rotating, disconnect terminal 3 (LS) to stop the wiper motor operation at any position other than the matchmark.

      2. Check that the motor stops automatically at the matchmark.

        OK
        Motor stops automatically at the matchmark.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.
