  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Outside Moulding)

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH

      Detach the clip and claw, and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL LH

  8. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 8 claws and remove the door assist grip cover LH.

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Remove the 13 clips.

    3. Remove the front inner door glass weatherstrip LH together with the front door trim board sub-assembly LH by pulling them upward in the order shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the pin labeled A in the illustration is detached from the door panel.

    4. Disconnect the each connector.

      Disconnect the 2 cables from the front door inside handle sub-assembly LH.

  11. REMOVE FRONT INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH

      Detach the 4 clips and remove the front inner door glass weatherstrip LH from the front door trim board sub-assembly LH.

      Note


      • Squeeze the metal clip to remove it.

      • The metal clip may be deformed if it is forcibly pulled.

  12. REMOVE SEAT MEMORY SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly LH.

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH

      Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 8screws and front door inside handle bezel LH.

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WIRING SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the front door wiring sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

  17. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

  18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR LH

      Remove the screw, and remove the front No. 1 door stiffener cushion and front door panel protector LH.

  19. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

  20. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      Using a clip remover, detach the 9 clamps.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the 2 connectors.

    3. Remove the front door service hole cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the remaining tape on the door.

  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Driver Side:

      Temporarily install the multiplex network master switch.

    2. Passenger Side:

      Temporarily install the power window regulator switch assembly.

    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    4. Move the front door glass sub-assembly until the bolts appear in the service holes.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

      Note

      Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.

      Remove the front door glass sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the front door glass sub-assembly upward.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the glass.

    8. Driver Side:

      Remove the multiplex network master switch.

    9. Passenger Side:

      Remove the power window regulator switch assembly.

  23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH

      Remove the front door glass run LH.

  24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the guide and front door rear lower frame sub-assembly LH.

  25. REMOVE LOWER DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH

      Detach the claw and remove the lower door frame garnish LH.

      Loosen the temporary bolt.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts, and front door window regulator sub-assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH through the service hole.

      Note

      Be careful when removing the bolts as the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH may fall and become damaged.

    3. Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH and the front power window regulator motor assembly LH as a unit.

    4. Remove the temporary bolt from the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH.

  29. REMOVE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the hole plug.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover LH with the door lock cylinder installed.

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle cover LH.

  31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH


    1. w/ Entry and Start System:

        Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws of the connector cover in the direction indicated and disconnect the connector cover.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

        Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws of the connector in the direction indicated and disconnect the connector.

        Detach the 2 claws and remove the holder in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

    2. B001XCM

      Remove the front door outside handle assembly LH by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

      Note

      If the release plate is not pulled and held when removing the front door outside handle assembly LH, the release plate will interfere with the front door outside handle assembly LH and become damaged.

      Detach the clamp.

    3. Detach the nut and 2 guides and remove the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  38. REMOVE NO. 2 ELECTRICAL KEY WIRE HARNESS (w/ Entry and Start System)

      Detach the 2 clamps and guide and remove the No. 2 electrical key wire harness from the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH.

  39. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD LH

  40. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the 2 clamps and front No. 2 door stiffener cushion.

  41. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and front door check assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful when removing the bolt and nuts as the front door check assembly LH may fall and become damaged.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the front door check assembly LH through the service hole.

  42. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 21 clips and remove the front door weatherstrip LH.

      If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.
