HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine room.

    2. Pass the cable rear side through the grommet until the cable stopper is attached to the grommet.

    3. Pass the cable front side through the upper radiator support.

    4. Connect the 6 clamps shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine room.

    2. Pass the cable rear side through the grommet until the cable stopper is attached to the grommet.

    3. Pass the cable front side through the upper radiator support.

    4. Connect the 6 clamps shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01X137

      Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and attach the 2 claws to install the hood lock lever sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.

    2. A01X404E04
      *1 for LHD:
      *2 for RHD:

      Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    3. Install the hood lock assembly.

    4. A01X0HYE04
      *1 for LHD:
      *2 for RHD:

      Install the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    5. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER


    1. A01X88GE05
      *1 for LHD:
      *2 for RHD:

      Attach the claw to install the hood lock control cable cover.

    2. Install the 3 screws.

  6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. A01X010

      Install the lower No. 1 radiator mounting bracket with the bolt.

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MAIN SEAL LH (for LHD)


    1. A01X50X

      Attach the 3 clips to install the front fender main seal LH.

  8. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MAIN SEAL RH (for RHD)


    1. A01X2MK

      Attach the 3 clips to install the front fender main seal RH.

  9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
