SLIDING ROOF HOUSING DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

   REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      Detach the bracket claw and remove the bracket.

   2. 

      Remove the 2 bolts, room light bracket and drive gear.

   REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the 2 screws.

   2. Detach the 4 claws and remove the sliding roof piece LH and RH.

   3. Slide and remove the trim.

   REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SUNSHADE STOPPER LH

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the stopper.

4. Click here

   REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SUNSHADE STOPPER RH

   Tip:

   Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

5. Click here

   REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Note:

   Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly except when replacing it.

      Remove the 2 screws and 2 stoppers.

   2. 

      Table 2.

      *1	Protective Tape
      *2	Rearward

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws slide the rear roof drip channel rearward to remove it.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

   3. 

      Hold down the window deflector.

      *2	Matchmark B

      Place matchmarks on the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly at locations A and B as shown in the illustration.

   5. 

      Table 4.

      *1	Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
