  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION


    1. for Type A:

        *a Protective Tape

        Put protective tape around the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

      2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 claws and 3 clips and remove the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

    2. for Type B:

        Put protective tape around the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

      2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

  2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for Type A:


      1. A01X848E01
        Text in Illustration
        *a Protective Tape

        Put protective tape around the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.

      2. Remove the clip and screw.

      3. A01XBKT

        Detach the 11 claws and guide.

      4. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamps and remove the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.

    2. for Type B:

        Put protective tape around the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.

      2. Remove the clip and screw.

      3. A01XAQ1

        Detach the 8 claws and 2 guides and remove the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION


    1. for Type A:

        Put protective tape around the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

      2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 claws and 3 clips and remove the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

    2. for Type B:

        Put protective tape around the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

      2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

  4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. for Type A:

        Put protective tape around the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly RH.

      2. Remove the clip and screw.

      3. A01X3PC

        Detach the 11 claws and guide and remove the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly RH.

    2. for Type B:

        Put protective tape around the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly RH.

      2. Remove the clip and screw.

      3. A01X455

        Detach the 7 claws and remove the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly RH.

  5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for Type A, for Automatic Transmission:


      1. A01X322

        Twist the shift lever knob sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

    2. for Type A, for Manual Transmission:


      1. A01WZLW

        Twist the shift lever knob sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

    3. for Type B:


      1. Twist the shift lever knob sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  6. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for Type A:


      1. A01X7UYE01

        Put protective tape around the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

      2. Detach the 6 claws and remove the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

    2. for Type B:

        Put protective tape around the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

      2. Detach the 7 claws.

      3. Disconnect the connectors and remove the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE CONSOLE CUP HOLDER BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Put protective tape around the lower console cup holder box sub-assembly.

    2. Detach the 4 claws and remove the console cup holder box sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL (for Type A)


    1. for Automatic Transmission:

        Put protective tape around the upper console panel.

      2. A01X85Z

        Detach the 8 claws and 5 clips.

      3. Disconnect the connectors and remove the upper console panel.

    2. for Manual Transmission:


      1. A01X3H0E01

        Put protective tape around the upper console panel.

      2. A01X4L6

        Detach the 8 claws and 5 clips.

      3. Disconnect the connectors and remove the upper console panel.

  9. REMOVE REAR UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Put protective tape around the upper rear console panel sub-assembly.

      Detach the 4 claws, clip and 3 guides and remove the upper rear console panel sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for Type A:

        Put protective tape around the upper console panel sub-assembly.

        Detach the 8 claws and 4 clips and remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

    2. for Type B:

        Put protective tape around the upper console panel sub-assembly.

      2. A01XAGK

        Detach the 14 claws.

      3. Detach the 14 claws. (b) Disconnect the connectors and remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Put protective tape around the rear console end panel sub-assembly.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 7 claws.

    3. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps and remove the rear console end panel sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 screws and 4 bolts.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear console box sub-assembly.
