PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (except Face to Face Seat Type)

    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip plugs.

  14. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

    1. Detach the clip 3 guides, and remove the front pillar garnish.

    2. for 9, 14 Speakers:

      Disconnect the speaker connector and then remove the front pillar garnish.

      *3 Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly

      Protect the curtain shield airbag.


      1. Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.

        Note

        Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

      When removing the center pillar garnish cover, move the front seat and seatback to the foremost upright position.

      When removing the center pillar garnish cover, connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and operate the power seat switch to move the front seat and seatback to the foremost upright position.

    • for Power Seat:

      After moving the front seat, disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

        Disconnect the thermistor connector and rear seat lock control lever cable, and then remove the quarter trim panel.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Detach the 2 clips and 2 guides.

    4. Disconnect the connector and then remove the map light.
