DESCRIPTION

Output to the front seat cushion heater assembly LH temperature sensor stops if one of the following occurs: 1) the temperature sensor is open or shorted; or 2) the temperature sensor is damaged and its output value does not change.

  1. Click here

    CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).


  2. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

      OK
      DTC B14C1 is not output.

  3. Click here

    READ VALUE USING GTS (FL SEAT HEATER TEMPERATURE)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Remove the front seat cushion heater assembly LH (Click here).

    2. Inspect the front seat cushion heater assembly LH (Click here).

    INSPECT SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B001WQSE01

      Remove the seat heater control sub-assembly LH connector (Click here).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      c13-5 (THL) - SHL-2 (TH1) Always Below 1 Ω
      c13-2 (PL) - SHL-3 (TH2) Always Below 1 Ω
      c13-5 (THL) or SHL-2 (TH1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      c13-2 (PL) or SHL-3 (TH2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the E35 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the c13 seat heater control sub-assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      c13-5 (THL) - E35-19 (TSL) Always Below 1 Ω
      c13-5 (THL) or E35-19 (TSL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      c13-2 (PL) - E35-34 (SG-4) Always Below 1 Ω
      c13-2 (PL) or SHL-3 (TH2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    • OK

      REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (Click here)

      REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
