DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives vehicle speed information from the ECM and master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU) via CAN communication.

The ECM receives vehicle speed information from the master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU) through the combination meter.

This DTC is stored when there is a difference in the vehicle speed information from the ECM and master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU).

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (VEHICLE SPEED)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Data List.

      Max.: 255 km/h (158 mph)

      		 Almost same as actual speed (when driving) The speed is indicated on the speedometer.

    2. Read the value displayed on the intelligent tester.

      OK
      Vehicle speed displayed on the intelligent tester is almost the same as actual vehicle speed measured using speedometer tester (calibrated chassis dynamometer).

  2. CHECK DTC (MALFUNCTION IN CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM WITH ECM)
