DESCRIPTION

w/ Multi-information Display:

The ODO/TRIP display of the meter changes each time the ODO/TRIP switch on the light control rheostat is pressed.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT)


    1. Operate the GTS according to the display and select Data List.

      Combination Meter
      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      ODO/TRIP Change SW Trip switch (ODO/TRIP switch) condition/ON or OFF

      ON: Trip switch pushed

      OFF: Trip switch not pushed

      Switch condition (ON/OFF) can be switched by actual operation.

  2. INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (TRIP SWITCH)

      Component without harness connected

      (Light Control Rheostat)

      Remove the light control rheostat Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (A/B) - 1 (E) TRIP switch ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω
      TRIP switch OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the E119 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the E9 switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
