   INSPECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH)

   
   
   1. 

      Table 1. for Engine Hood Courtesy Switch Connector 2 Pin Type (for LHD Vehicle)

      *1	Component without harness connected: (Hood Lock Assembly)
      *2	Unlock Position
      *3	Lock Position

      for Engine Hood Courtesy Switch Connector 2 Pin Type (for LHD Vehicle):

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Unlock 10 kΩ or higher 1 - 2 Lock Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the hood lock assembly.

      *3	Lock Position

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Unlock 10 kΩ or higher 1 - 2 Lock Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the hood lock assembly.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 3 Always Below 1 Ω 2 - 4 Unlock 10 kΩ or higher 2 - 4 Lock Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the hood lock assembly.
