DESCRIPTION
-
The intrusion and tilt sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor) conducts self-diagnosis immediately after power is supplied to the sensor (when the theft deterrent system is set).
If a problem is detected in the signals transmitted and received by the intrusion and tilt sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor), or if the transmission or reception circuits malfunction, the intrusion and tilt sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor) transmits a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) then stores this DTC.

If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

w/ Door Control Battery:
As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure Click here.

CHECK FOR DTC

Clear the DTCs Click here.

Turn the engine switch on (IG), then off.

Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

Check that the security indicator changes from illuminated to blinking.

Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

Check for DTCs Click here.
OK DTC B2761 is not output.

REPLACE INTRUSION AND TILT SENSOR (THEFT WARNING ULTRASONIC SENSOR)

Temporarily replace the intrusion and tilt sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor) with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
