ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM(w/ Entry and Start System) ID Code Box Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the ID code box.

WIRING DIAGRAM

*c	ID Code Box (Immobiliser Code ECU)

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (IMB)

   
   

   1. Remove the IMB fuse from the engine room relay block.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition IMB fuse Always Below 1 Ω

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE FUSE

   OK

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX (IMMOBILISER CODE ECU) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

   

   *1	Front view of wire harness connector: (to ID Code Box (Immobiliser Code ECU))

   
   

   1. Disconnect the E28 ID code box connector.

   2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E28-8 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E28-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
