REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER WINCH COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the front bumper winch cover sub-assembly.

    2. Using moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws.

    3. A01WZJO

      Detach the 2 guides and remove the front bumper winch cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSPECT REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A01X0VE

      Connect the remote control switch connector.

    2. A01X3XQ

      Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and check that the power indicator light illuminates.

    3. Press the remote control switch, and check that the winch operates.

      Note

      Be careful not to tighten or strain the winch wire.

    4. Turn the ignition switch off.

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  4. INSPECT OVERHEAT TEMPERATURE INDICATOR


    1. A01X991

      Remove the 4 screws and cover.

    2. A01WZJV

      Disconnect the motor relay connector.

    3. A01X6KT

      Remove the 2 nuts.

    4. Pull the bumper side winch control wire out of the bumper.

    5. Connect the bumper side winch control wire connector to the vehicle side winch control wire connector.

    6. Connect the bumper side winch control wire connector to the winch control switch connector.

    7. A01XAPA

      Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and check that the overheat temperature indicator light illuminates and the buzzer sounds.

    8. Turn the ignition switch off.

    9. Disconnect the bumper side winch control wire connector from the winch control switch connector.

    10. Disconnect the bumper side winch control wire connector from the vehicle side winch control wire connector.

    11. Pass the bumper side winch control wire through the bumper.

    12. Install the 2 nuts.

    13. Connect the motor relay connector.

    14. Install the cover with the 4 screws.

  5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER

  6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER WINCH COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 2 guides to install the front bumper winch cover sub-assembly.

    2. Attach the 2 claws.
