This is the visual mute signal circuit from the multi-media module receiver assembly to the television display assembly.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      *a	Component with harness connected (Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly)

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F78-4 (VMTR) - Body ground RSE is playing → Source is changed 4 V or higher → Below 0.7 V → 4 V or higher

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the F78 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the L53 television display assembly connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F78-4 (VMTR) - L53-17 (VMTR) Always Below 1 Ω F78-4 (VMTR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK

3. CHECK MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Disconnect the L53 television display assembly connector.

   2.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L53-17 (VMTR) - Body ground Display is operating 4 V or higher
