STEERING CONTROL ECU(for RHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note


    • After the engine switch is turned off, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch)

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (w/o Sliding Roof)

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover)

  9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    Click here

  10. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

  12. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag)

  13. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Driver Side Knee Airbag)

  14. REMOVE STEERING CONTROL ECU WITH JUNCTION BLOCK

    1. Rear side:


      1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      2. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts.

    2. Front side:


      1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    3. Remove the steering control ECU with the junction block.

  15. REMOVE STEERING CONTROL ECU

      Remove the 2 bolts and separate the steering control ECU from the junction block.
