DESCRIPTION

The steering control ECU monitors the IG power supply voltage.

If the steering control ECU detects a malfunction, it will turn on the master warning light, store DTC C15C6/77, and stop VGRS operation.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C15C6/77 The steering control ECU detects that the battery voltage is normal and the IG terminal voltage is below 4 V for 6 seconds.

    CHECK STEERING CONTROL ECU (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)


    1. Record and clear the DTCs (Click here).

      Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      E77-7 (PGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E78-8 (PGD2) - Body ground

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E77-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
