VANE PUMP(for 1VD-FTV without DPF) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A01X0HO

      Coat a new O-ring with power steering fluid and install it to the vane pump.

    2. Install the vane pump with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  2. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01X0VN

      Install a new gasket to the pressure feed tube.

    2. Install the pressure feed tube and union with the union bolt.

      Torque:
      50 N*m  { 510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the stopper of the tube touches the vane pump body as shown in the illustration before tightening the bolt.

  3. CONNECT POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTOR


    1. A01X0XO

      Connect the connector.

  4. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE


    1. A01X16R

      Connect the pump hose to the vane pump with the clip.

  5. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

  6. INSTALL NO. 3 IDLER PULLEY (w/ Viscous Heater)

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 IDLER PULLEY (w/ Viscous Heater)

    Click here

  8. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT (w/ Viscous Heater)

    Click here

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  10. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

  11. TEMPORARILY INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

    Click here

  12. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  14. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

    Click here

  15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING A

    Click here

  16. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

  17. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID

  18. INSPECT FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK

  19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
