REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    Wash off brake fluid immediately if it comes in contact with any painted surface.

  3. REMOVE REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE LH

      Remove the union bolt and gasket, and then remove the flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder.

      *1 Union Nut Wrench

      Disconnect the brake tube from the flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

      Note


      • Do not bend or damage the brake tube.

      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting point.

    3. Remove the clip.

  4. REMOVE REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE


    1. Disconnect each brake tube from the flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

      *1 Union Nut Wrench

    2. Remove the 2 clips.

    3. Remove the flexible hose.

    4. Disconnect each brake tube from the flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

      *1 Union Nut Wrench

    5. Remove the 2 clips.

    6. Remove the flexible hose.

  5. REMOVE NO. 6 FLEXIBLE HOSE BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and bracket from the rear axle housing.
