Tech Tips
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE STABILIZER CONTROL VALVE PROTECTOR (w/ KDSS)
OPEN STABILIZER CONTROL WITH ACCUMULATOR HOUSING SHUTTER VALVE (w/ KDSS)
REMOVE REAR WHEEL
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
DISCONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT REAR AXLE BREATHER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
SUPPORT REAR AXLE HOUSING ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT REAR STABILIZER END BRACKET (w/ KDSS)
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the stabilizer end bracket.
DISCONNECT REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY (w/ KDSS)
Remove the nut and disconnect the stabilizer link from the stabilizer bar.
Note
Do not lose the ball Joint dust cover protector.
Tech Tips
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.
DISCONNECT REAR STABILIZER END BRACKET LH (w/o KDSS)
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the stabilizer end bracket.
DISCONNECT REAR STABILIZER END BRACKET RH (w/o KDSS)
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the stabilizer end bracket.
DISCONNECT REAR LATERAL CONTROL ROD ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE
DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the bolt on the lower side of the shock absorber.
Disconnect the shock absorber from the axle housing.
DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH
Remove the bolt on the lower side of the shock absorber.
Disconnect the shock absorber from the axle housing.
REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH
While lowering the axle housing, remove the coil spring.
Note
Be careful not to snap the brake line.
REMOVE HOLLOW SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the hollow spring from the frame.
