C1785 Steering Control ECU Communication Error

DESCRIPTION

The suspension control ECU receives signals from the VGRS ECU (steering control ECU) via CAN communication.

DTC Code Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1785 While the engine switch is on (IG), the steering control ECU malfunction signal is received for 5 seconds.

  • Variable gear ratio steering system (VGRS system)

  • Suspension control ECU

  • Before performing troubleshooting, inspect the connectors of related circuits.

  • If the suspension control ECU or height control sensor is replaced, the vehicle height offset calibration must be performed Click here.

  1. CHECK DTC (VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM)


    1. Check if a DTC is output from the variable gear ratio steering system Click here.
