REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE TRANSFER CASE ADAPTER REAR OIL SEAL
Using a screwdriver, pry out the transfer case adapter rear oil seal.
Note
Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole or output shaft.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
INSTALL TRANSFER CASE ADAPTER REAR OIL SEAL
Coat the lip of a new transfer case adapter rear oil seal with MP grease.

Using SST and a hammer, tap in the transfer case adapter rear oil seal.

| 0 to 1.0 mm (0 to 0.0393 in.) (from edge of rear transfer adapter) |
Note
Keep the lip of the transfer case adapter rear oil seal free from foreign matter.
Do not tap in the transfer case adapter rear oil seal at an angle.
