MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The TCM monitors its internal operation. If the internal operation is malfunctioning, the TCM will illuminate the MIL and store this DTC.

Note


  • Perform registration and/or initialization when parts related to the automatic transmission are replaced Click here.

  • There is a possibility that DTC P062F is issued from the ECUs of the ECM and TCM. Use the GTS to conduct a health check to confirm which ECU the DTC is issued from and then inspect the related system.

Tech Tips

After performing repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.


  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 10 minutes or more.

  2. Check for DTCs again Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P062F)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTCs Click here.

      Tech Tips

      Write down the currently output DTCs before clearing them.

    5. Turn the engine switch off and turn the GTS off.

    6. Disconnect the GTS.

    7. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

    8. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    9. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    10. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    11. Turn the GTS on.

    12. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.

    13. Read the DTCs using the GTS.
