DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Washer Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The distance control ECU detects washer operation. Cruise control will be canceled by the distance control ECU if the windshield wipers operate in HI or LO mode.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK WASHER MOTOR (OPERATION)


    1. Check that the front washer operates Click here.

      OK
      Washer function is normal.

    NG

    GO TO WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISTANCE CONTROL ECU - WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the E108 distance control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the E15 windshield wiper switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E108-3 (WASH) - E15-3 (WF) Always Below 1 Ω
      E15-3 (WF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E108-3 (WASH) - E15-1 (WF) Always Below 1 Ω
      E15-1 (WF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
