DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid) sends signals such as cruise control cancel signals and brake demand response signals to the ECM when the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Using the GTS, check that the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      OK
      CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to CAN Bus Check for the CAN communication system.

  2. CHECK DTC (RADAR CRUISE1)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the dynamic radar cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

      3. Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more for 0.5 seconds or more.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs Click here.

  3. REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU (MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID)


    1. Replace the skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid).

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
