  1. FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION


    1. When communication fails in any of the CAN bus lines (communication lines), a fail-safe function(s) will operate. The fail-safe function that is specified for each system operates to prevent those systems from malfunctioning.

      • Uses the front camera to recognize the lane markers of the currently traveled lane and uses that information together with vehicle information to perform the following 2 functions:

        • When the system determines that the vehicle may deviate from its lane, steering assist is performed to prevent the vehicle from deviating.

        • Function that provides a warning by sounding the buzzer when the vehicle deviates from the white lines.

        • Function that uses the front camera to recognize the lane markers of the currently traveled lane and uses that information together with vehicle information to judge if the vehicle is wandering and prompt the driver to take a rest.
