DESCRIPTION

The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) intermittently monitors the LIN communication bus between the components related to certification. DTC B2785 is output when a malfunction in the LIN communication bus between the components related to certification is detected continuously 3 times.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When using the GTS with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot:

Connect the GTS to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

Tech Tips

When DTC B2785 is output simultaneously, perform the troubleshooting.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - ID CODE BOX AND STEERING LOCK ECU)


    1. Disconnect the E26 and E124 and E130 ECU connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E130-6 (LIN) - E124-2 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      E130-6 (LIN) - E26-5 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      E130-6 (LIN) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E124-2 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E26-5 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Reconnect the E124 ECU connectors.

    2. Clear the DTC Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs.
