DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH judges that there is a communication error with the blind spot monitor sensor RH.

Note


  • When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (steering pad switch assembly [multi-function switch]) is on.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH)


    1. Disconnect the r1 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the r2 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      r1-6 (CA2P) - r2-1 (CA2P) Always Below 1 Ω
      r1-1 (CA2N) - r2-8 (CA2N) Always Below 1 Ω

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the r1 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      r1-10 (BRGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      r1-5 (BRB) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  3. REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH


    1. Replace the blind spot monitor sensor RH Click here.

  4. RECHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
