RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FUEL PUMP RELAY (SUB PUMP)


    1. A01X91WE08

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump relay.

  2. INSPECT EDU RELAY (EDU1)

    A01X91WE08

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied between 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage is applied between 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the EDU relay.

  3. INSTALL EDU RELAY (EDU2)

    A01X91WE08

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied between 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage is applied between 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the EDU relay.

  4. INSPECT NO. 1 IGNITION RELAY (IG1)


    1. A01WZ2CE06

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 ignition relay.

  5. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (A/F RELAY) (w/ DPF)


    1. Measure the resistance of the A/F HTR fuse.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A/F HTR fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the A/F HTR fuse.

    2. Measure the resistance of the ignition relay air fuel ratio sensor relay circuit.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        for LHD 1Y-1 - 1S-3 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1S-1 and 1S-4 10 kΩ or higher

  6. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (IG2 MAIN RELAY)


    1. Measure the resistance of the IG2 MAIN fuse.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        IG2 MAIN fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the IG2 MAIN fuse.

    2. Measure the resistance of the IG2 MAIN relay circuit.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        for LHD 1Y-1 - 1R-1 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1R-2 and 1S-4 10 kΩ or higher

  7. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (EFI MAIN NO.1 RELAY)


    1. Measure the resistance of the EFI MAIN NO. 1 fuse and EFI NO. 2 fuse.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        EFI MAIN NO. 1 fuse Always Below 1 Ω
        EFI NO. 2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the EFI MAIN NO. 1 fuse and/or EFI NO. 2 fuse.

    2. Measure the resistance of the EFI MAIN No. 1 relay circuit.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        EFI MAIN NO. 2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the EFI MAIN NO. 2 fuse.

    2. Measure the resistance of the EFI MAIN No. 2 relay circuit.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  9. INSPECT MAIN BODY ECU (IG1 NO. 1)


    1. Measure the resistance of the ECU-IG NO. 2 fuse.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        ECU-IG NO. 2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ECU IG NO. 2 fuse.

    2. Measure the resistance of the IG1 No. 1 relay circuit.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2G-1 - 2H-24 Battery voltage not applied between 2I-18 and 2J-1 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage applied between 2I-18 and 2J-1 Below 1 Ω
