POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

   
   

   1. Check the oil pressure switch.

      
      

      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Primary / Power Steering Signal.

      5. Start the engine.

      6. Operate the steering wheel while idling, and read the value on the GTS.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Power steering operation ON Power steering not operation OFF

         If not as specified, check for DTCs (w/o DPF: See page , w/ DPF: Click here). If the power steering system inspection results are normal and a DTC is not output, replace the power steering oil pressure switch.
