DESCRIPTION

The ECM continuously monitors its main and sub CPUs. This self-check ensures that the ECM is functioning properly. If outputs from the CPUs are different and deviate from the standard, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and store DTC(s) immediately.

  • An ECM main CPU error.

  • An ECM sub CPU error.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear DTC Click here.

    2. Turn the engine switch off.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    5. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    6. Check DTC.

      OK
      P0606 is not output.

    OK
