DESCRIPTION
The ECM operates the air pump heater relay which causes the air pump heater to operate.

Inspect the fuses of circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
INSPECT AIR PUMP HEATER RELAY (AIR PMP HTR)
Inspect the integration relay (AIR PMP HTR) (Click here).
REPLACE INTEGRATION RELAY (AIR PMP HTR)
CHECK AIR PUMP HEATER RELAY (POWER SOURCE)
Remove the integration relay (AIR PMP HTR).
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Reinstall the integration relay (AIR PMP HTR).
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - AIR PUMP HEATER RELAY (AI-PMP HTR))
Remove the integration relay (AIR PMP HTR).
Disconnect the ECM connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Reinstall the integration relay (AIR PMP HTR).
Reconnect the ECM connector.
