OIL PUMP INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT OIL REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

    A01X1TZ

    1. Remove the oil pump relief valve plug.

    2. Remove the 2 valve springs and relief valve.

    3. A01X92P

      Check that the valve falls smoothly into the valve hole by its own weight.

      If it does not, replace the relief valve. If necessary, replace the oil regulator assembly.

    4. Coat the relief valve with engine oil.

    5. A01X1TZ

      Install the relief valve and 2 relief valve springs into the oil regulator body hole.

    6. Install the oil pump relief valve plug.

      Torque:
      50 N*m  { 510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSPECT OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY

    A01X2BB

    1. Turn the gear and check that the oil pump bearing moves smoothly and quietly.

      If necessary, replace the oil pump assembly.
