RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.


    1. Disconnect the cables from the negative (-) main battery and sub-battery terminals.

  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL FRONT RH

    Click here

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Click here

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  10. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM WIRE

    Click here

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Intercooler)

    Click here

  12. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

    Click here

  14. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

    Click here

  15. REMOVE VANE PUMP OIL RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  16. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR BRACKET

    Click here

  17. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  20. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT (w/ Viscous Heater)

    Click here

  21. REMOVE NO. 1 IDLER PULLEY (w/ Viscous Heater)

    Click here

  22. REMOVE NO. 3 IDLER PULLEY (w/ Viscous Heater)

    Click here

  23. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  24. REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE (for Automatic Transmission)

      Disconnect the inlet and outlet No. 1 oil cooler hose.

    2. B001Y0X

      Disconnect the inlet No. 2 and No. 3 oil cooler hoses.

    3. B001VP2

      Disconnect the inlet No. 4 oil cooler hose.

    4. B002009

      Remove the 2 bolts and transmission oil cooler tube.

  25. REMOVE FAN SHROUD WITH FAN

  26. REMOVE FAN PULLEY

  27. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER


  28. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT (for Automatic Transmission)

      Remove the 4 bolts and transmission oil cooler air duct.

  29. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH (for Manual Transmission)


    1. B001Z42

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips, and remove the radiator side deflector RH.

  30. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH


    1. B001ZEL

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips, and remove the radiator side deflector LH.

  31. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. B001XFF

      Remove the 4 bolts and radiator.
