RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01X3TT

      Insert the radiator bracket hooks into the radiator support holes.

    2. Install the radiator with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  3. INSTALL FAN SHROUD


    1. Install the fan pulley to the engine water pump.

    2. Place the shroud together with the fluid coupling fan between the radiator and engine.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the radiator core.

    3. Temporarily install the fluid coupling fan to the fluid coupling bracket with the 4 nuts. Tighten the nuts as much as possible by hand.

      Attach the claws of the shroud to the radiator as shown in the illustration.

    5. Install the shroud with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    6. Connect the oil cooler tube to the fan shroud with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

    7. w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler:

      Pass the hose through the flexible hose clamp and close the clamp as shown in the illustration.

    8. Connect the reservoir hose to the upper radiator tank.

    9. Install the fan and generator V belt Click here.

    10. Tighten the 4 nuts of the fluid coupling fan.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE

  6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  8. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

    Click here

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH


    1. Install the radiator side deflector LH with the 4 clips.

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)


    1. Install the radiator side deflector RH with the 4 clips.

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  12. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)


  13. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
