EXHAUST PIPE(w/ DPF) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:


  • Wear protective gloves and protective glasses when removing the exhaust pipe.

  • The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.

  • Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR RH

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR LH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

      Remove the 6 bolts and No. 2 engine under cover.

  5. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the bolt, clamp and gasket.

    2. Disconnect the tailpipe from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

  6. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Disconnect the center exhaust pipe from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Remove the gasket from the No. 5 exhaust pipe and front exhaust pipe.

  7. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY (for 1-piece Type)

  8. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY LH (for 2-piece Type)

  9. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY RH (for 2-piece Type)

  10. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01WZSZ

      Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the 2 air hoses from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector and detach the clamp.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts and front exhaust pipe.

    4. Remove the gasket.

  11. REMOVE NO. 5 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 nuts and No. 5 exhaust pipe.

    2. Remove the gasket.

  12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 air hoses.

    2. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector and detach the clamp.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts and front No. 2 exhaust pipe.

    4. Remove the gasket.

  13. REMOVE NO. 4 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  14. REMOVE MONOLITHIC CONVERTER ASSEMBLY RH


    1. A01WZTV

      Disconnect the 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor connectors and detach the 4 clamps.

    2. A01WZRV

      Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts and monolithic converter RH.

    4. Remove the gasket from the turbocharger.

  15. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  16. REMOVE MONOLITHIC CONVERTER ASSEMBLY LH

      Disconnect the 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor connectors and detach the 4 clamps.

    2. A01XAE1

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 manifold stay.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts and monolithic converter LH.

    4. Remove the gasket from the turbocharger.

  17. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
