FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Viscous Heater)

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Viscous Heater)

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Viscous Heater)

  5. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL (w/ Viscous Heater)

    Click here

  6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (w/ Viscous Heater)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY (w/ Intercooler)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 COOL AIR INLET (w/o Intercooler)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 COOL AIR INLET (w/o Intercooler)

  10. DISCONNECT WATER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Viscous Heater)

  11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

  13. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

  14. REMOVE HEATER WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Viscous Heater)

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. REMOVE FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    • Before replacing the fuel temperature sensor, be sure to clean the surrounding area.

    • When replacing the fuel temperature sensor, make sure that your hands are clean and do not use gloves, etc.

    • If the fuel temperature sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      Disconnect the fuel temperature sensor connector.

    2. Using SST, remove the fuel temperature sensor.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the fuel temperature sensor.
