REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR WITH CLIP (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

   for Corner Sensor: Click here

2. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR WITH CLIP (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

   for Back Sensor: Click here

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

   Click here

4. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

   
   

   1. 

      Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

5. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the screw.

   2. Disengage the pin and guide, and remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

6. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

7. REMOVE LOWER REAR BUMPER RETAINER LH

   
   

   1. 

      Disengage the 5 claws and remove the lower rear bumper retainer LH.

8. REMOVE LOWER REAR BUMPER RETAINER RH

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

9. REMOVE LOWER REAR BUMPER COVER

   
   

   1. Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.

      

   2. Remove the 2 outside moulding retainers.

   3. Disengage the 8 claws and 2 guides, and remove the lower rear bumper cover from the rear bumper cover.

      

10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear bumper side retainer LH.

11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the 4 bolts and rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.

13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear bumper arm sub-assembly LH.

14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
