FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. B001M1J

      Engage the clip.

    2. Install the front bumper side support LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Engage the guide.

    2. Install the front side member bracket sub-assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      50 N*m  { 510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B001LFO

      Install the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      34 N*m  { 347 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 4 clamps.

  6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. B001MJX

      Engage the 2 guides to install a new front bumper energy absorber.

  7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SEAL


    1. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      B001MUK Double-sided Tape

      Install 2 new front bumper seals to the new front bumper energy absorber.

      Tech Tips

      Press the front bumper seal firmly to install it.

  8. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER


    1. B001L1J

      Engage the 2 claws and install the 2 front fender liner retainers.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  9. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. B001KDO

      Engage the 2 guides and 17 claws.

    2. B001KE8

      Install the lower No. 1 radiator grille with the 2 outside moulding retainers.

  10. INSTALL SYMBOL EMBLEM (w/o Lexus Safety System+)


    1. for Type A:


      1. B001MZY

        Engage the guide and claw.

      2. Install the symbol emblem with 2 new spring nuts.

    2. for Type B:


      1. B001N9J

        Engage the guide and claw.

      2. Install the symbol emblem with 2 screws.

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/ Lexus Safety System+)

      Engage the guide and claw.

    2. Install the radiator grille emblem with 2 screws.

  12. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

      Engage the 6 claws.

    2. B001LKW

      Install the 2 screws.

    3. B001MBS

      Install the radiator grille with the 2 clips.

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING


    1. B001MPL

      Engage the 8 claws.

    2. B001MGT

      Install the radiator grille moulding with the 2 screws.

  14. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING

      Engage the 18 claws.

    2. B001NDB

      Install the lower radiator grille moulding with the 4 screws.

  15. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR


    1. B001NAV

      Engage the 7 claws.

    2. B001KMF

      Install the lower radiator air deflector with the 2 screws.

  16. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH

      *a Hook

      Engage the hook.

    2. Engage the guide and 3 claws to install the front bumper hole cover LH.

  17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. INSTALL HOOD TO RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL


    1. Clean the front bumper cover surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Remove the release paper from a new hood to radiator grille seal.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Engage the 16 clips to attach the double-sided tapes and install the hood to radiator grille seal as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Press the hood to radiator grille seal firmly to install it.

  19. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET (for Standard)


    1. for Type A:

        Engage the 4 claws.

        Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

    2. for Type B:

        Engage the 2 guides and 6 claws.

      2. B001LID

        Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

    3. for Type C:


      1. B001MA0

        Engage the 4 claws.

      2. B001LQ1

        Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

  20. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET (for Sport Package)


    1. for Type A:

        Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws.

      2. B001M4P

        Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

    2. for Type B:

        Engage the 2 guides and 6 claws.

        Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

  21. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING LH (for Sport Package)

      Engage the guide and 2 claws to install the lower radiator grille moulding LH.

        Install the front bumper extension LH with the 3 clips.

  26. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION RH (w/ Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the fog light mounting bracket LH with the 2 screws.
