The vehicle approaching speaker controller and GTS communicate using SIL communication.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Health Check.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the H183 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H183-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H183-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H44-7 (SIL) - H183-9 (PRST) Always Below 1 Ω
      H44-7 (SIL) or H183-9 (PRST) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
